Some table love

Just a few quick shots of the store, still putting it back together since returning from the Springfield Extravaganza but I wanted to get these to you as I have some really special pieces right now. More on the way too!
My favorite piece in the store right now is this fabulous table with it's soapstone top on an industrial base.

Gorgeous cast iron Victorian garden table.

Cast iron base with a top covered in galvanized tin and burlap poufs.

Old industrial base with original green paint topped with a piece of marble, sold separately.

My nod to Gilligan's Island, I love this little bamboo set, vintage Pier 1 all the way. (Scary isn't it! That pieces from Pier 1 could now be vintage? :-)

Industrial pendant lamp and a circa 1930-1940's school chart of a moth.

Lovely traditional walnut foyer table, Aidan Gray shell lamp and stunning vintage mirror.

A pair of organic linen tufted slipper chairs, Aidan Gray "candelier", song of the sea wreath.

 Vintage ice cream set.

1930-1940 school chart about mushrooms (Sold)

More vintage school charts, wonderful library stool and more.

A Sweet Weekend

Back from Springfield and boy what a whirlwind of a weekend albeit very sweet! With 2,000 vendors and almost 10 times as many shoppers the three days are a bit of a blur. Especially when the Courtyard by Marriott called me Thursday night at 8:30pm and says they don't have a room for me after all, bummer. So my trooper of a mom and I drove back and forth from Columbus each evening and morning. Hopefully you followed me and all the fun on Facebook. If not my dear friend Theresa from Timeworn Interiors has been posting pictures of several vendors on her blog and you can visit her here.

Meanwhile back in Thornville I am open 10-4 through Saturday. I am still unpacking things as I returned late Sunday night and as you can imagine resetting the entire store is a bit daunting, especially when it's so beautiful outside and my air mattress and the lake keep calling me, I have ignored the voice thus far but it's very distracting.

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday weekend! Be safe out there!!

The Vintage Marketplace at the Springfield Extravaganza

~*~my Thornville store is closed until after this mega show, my apologies for any inconvenience~*~

After an INCREDIBLY successful debut in Nashville, the Vintage Marketplace will be coming to the Springfield Antique Show & Flea Market’s May Extravaganza.  On the cutting edge of Vintage, Art, Design & Antiques; this select group of exhibitors will inspire the next generation of enthusiasts with their unique style, energy and determination to share what they love.

The Vintage Marketplace will occupy series of walled and tented spaces in the center hub of the show (the area between the main buildings) and will be divided with fabric walls, giving each exhibitor the effect of their own creative space.   The Springfield Extravaganza is a long running tradition and features nearly 2000 dealers and 20,000 customers each May and September.
Sue Whitney, author of the Junk Beautiful Series, contributor to Better Homes and Gardens/Country Gardens and creator of JunkMarket Style will join us again as our authority on all things vintage, junk and cool.  We will be busy creating content for the Vintage Marketplace including talks, hands-on workshops and even a party to kick back and relax.
We have created a new blog for the show which will feature show news, exhibitor bios and information for customers and dealers.  Look for our promotional efforts to begin immediately in trade papers, Facebook, Twitter and Blogger.
