Hello from Anna Maria!

Escaped the grayness of Ohio (but I hear it's in the 80's there now) to head south for a while. My family's favorite southern getaway is Anna Maria Island on Florida's gulf coast. For more about this vacation spot visit these blog posts from last year:
first one, our dolphin/Egmont Key trip, my favorite shopping spot on the island.

One of our favorite lunch or snack stops, the Anna Maria City Pier, just a shack on stilts with the best peel and eat shrimp.

Anna Maria! We're only an hour away from each other, Lisa! What a week of PERFECT weather for you, too!

Enjoy!!

My favorite place! We go for a family reunion every year on Memorial Day. It's so old Florida, reminds me of the 60's before Disney. Did you find good shells? I always get lots of sanddollars.
Enjoy your stay!

I live in TN now but grew up near Anna Maria (in Bradenton). My grandparents lived near the pier and we would go to their house every Sunday. They've passed away now and oh how I miss it!
